最後に訪れたのが高校3年生最後の高校総体ですから実に37年ぶり。この週末に石巻を散歩してきました。震災後、兄が2年間南三陸町に赴任し復興に携わっていたので話しではいろいろ聞いていましたが、震災と津波による死者は中心部だけで2,038人、市全体では3,282人と多数の行方不明者を出した悲劇は今も街の所々に爪跡を残していました。写真は多くの人が難を逃れた日和山公園からの眺めです。9年半という月日は教訓から学ぶには充分な時間だと思いますが、学びからどれだけ実行に移せたか、この問いかけは震災に限らず様々な問題とその解決に向けて常に発せられなければならない大事なことですね。（2020年8月22日）
It was 37 years ago when I visited Ishinomaki last time. It was the last Inter-high school Championship Kendo competition for my high school days. Time flies. I could still see traces of the damage caused by the disastrous Tsunami on March 11, 2011 anywhere in the downtown which approached to me with stronger impact than any written articles or video films on TV although I was heard from my elder brother who was appointed as a station and worked for the reconstruction at Minami Sanriku after the earthquake. The number of dead was 2,038 only for the downtown and the total 3,286 were victim in the city of Ishinomaki at the time. The photo is the view from the top of Hiyoriyama Park where a lot of people were refused from the tsunami. 9 years and a half should be enough for the learning from the event but why don't we ask ourselves to what extent we have done as an action to be taken from the learning. It may be not only applicable for the the reconstruction after the disaster but also may lead to any action after Plan Do and Check in our daily work. (22/AUG/2020)
