健康保険による傷病手当金の支給期間は従来、支給開始日から1年6か月を上限とされていました。その結果、期間途中で就業復帰した場合も1年6か月にカウントされてしまい、働きながら治療を続けるがん患者等が満足な給付を受けられておりませんでした。こうした方々が仕事と治療を両立できるよう、より柔軟な所得保障を行うために来年1月より支給期間を通算して1年6か月まで給付が受けられることになります。（この仕組みは既に共済組合では導入されています。） （2021年9月14日） The payment period of the disability allowance provided by Health insurance is currently determined as the maximum one year and a half from the first payment date. As a result, the working period is also counted in the payment period no matter how the recipients work or take leave which cause insufficient support to the patients who try to work while receiving the treatment of the cancers and so on. In order to support their success at both work and treatment and make this system more flexible, the payment period of one year and a half will be determined on the basis of the totalised periods that the recipient receive the allowance since January 2022.
